Downhill skiing, carving, classic and skating trails for Nordic skiing, snowboarding and telemarking… The Ecole de Ski Française, with its 50 instructors, is open throughout the season to help you improve your technique or guide you through the splendours of the Portes du Soleil.

From the start of your holiday, group or private lessons will enable you to find your skiing legs. Our objective is to help you improve your technique, thereby giving you the confidence you need to descend any slope so you can enjoy the area to the full.

For those who would like to learn cross-country skiing techniques (skating, classic) or explore the resort’s extensive network of Nordic trails, our instructors also offer a wide range of cross-country skiing courses. The Nordic ski area at La Chapelle d'Abondance is one of the most beautiful in Haute-Savoie and offers circuits of 5, 10, 15, 25 and 35km.

	. GROUP LESSONS
	We adapt our programmes to suit the abilities of each individual, offering technical instruction with fun skiing for those who want to improve, or who simply want to ski with other people. Throughout the week, your instructor will ensure that you progress at your own rhythm. You can work out which lessons are best suited to your ability by referring to the ability tables pages. To ensure the best teaching conditions, all one-week group lessons run from Sunday to Friday. One-day and half-day outings are available for the Chapelle d'Abondance and the Portes de Soleil ski areas.

	. PRIVATE LESSON
	With personal advice from your own instructor, you will progress at the rate that suits you best. You can choose your instructor. Private lessons that are cancelled with less than 24-hours notice will be counted and will not be refunded. To get the best from your lessons, all members of a group should have a similar level. Private lessons are programmed outside the times reserved for group lessons.
